Hello,
We live in a rural, but not farming area. Four days ago, we found what we think is a young white turkey in our back yard. Our yard is fenced, but there are 2 holes along the back, at the bottom(dug by our past dog). It doesn't seem to belong to any of our neighbors. There is heavy construction being done on a house, kitty-corner behind us. There is wetlands/brush directly behind us. We think the commotion of the construction scared it into our yard. Here is a pic(if I did this right). It is standing in front of raspberry bushes. Can anyone identify this? We have also found 2 eggs, white, the size of chicken eggs, across the yard from each other.

I don't have them, but I think the head looks more like a pheasant than a turkey. Whatever it is, it's gorgeous! Why can't nice things wander up into my yard?? LOL!

Congrats!

Shelly

It seems like the size of a small chicken. 12-15" head to tail, about 8" from ground to top of back. I am trying to post another picture.

I am in Southeast Michigan. Hubby took pics Saturday. Waiting for him to send them to me. The bird is changing daily. Looks like it is turning darker.
