Day 16 and fixin' to candle the 18 left from the original 23 tonight... (I candled out 5 as infertile at day8! ...might hafta fire that rooster!)
My third year of hatching with a cheap (but effective) "Little Giant" still air incubator, and can't complain! I turn the eggs manually 3-5 times daily, don't have a fan in there, and hold the temp between 99 and 100.... so far it's worked well for me! The 1st year produced 19 out of 23, the second year (now with my own eggs) produced 22 of 25, and this year I'm hopin' 18 for 18...
Ya might notice this is my 1st post... but I'm sure it won't be the last! I've been reading as a guest for well over a year, and finally decided to jump in the pool! So thanks for all the great advice you didn't even know ya gave me it's helped immensely I'm sure!
