Thermometer question

Discussion in 'Incubating & Hatching Eggs' started by McCord6, Sep 14, 2009.

  1. My thermometer that a friend gave me finally "took it's last breath." I have TONS of regular digital thermometers for the kiddos, the regular human medical one. Will that work until I can get a new one?

the regular human medical one is probably the most accurate.

Thats what I use to calibrate all my cheep digital ones.

medical thermometers are designed to work on contact not measure air temps.

All thermometers read anything with mass that they touch.. Air has mass just like water an a medical thermometer will read the temp of air just as accurately as it reads the temp of the water in your mouth.

Mass is mass as far as the thermometer cares.
