Hi all

I got my incubator (Little Giant still air with an egg turner) out and was going to do a test run to make sure everything is ok before I put the eggs in. My thermometer is not working, so I need a new one. I was looking on Amazon and the soonest one would get to me is the 31st. I am looking for recommendations of thermometers that I can get at Walmart, TSC, Rural King or Family Farm and Home. If you have pictures of what you recommend that would be great! Thanks all and happy hatching :)

I use the metal aquarium fish style that are flat and hang on aquariums. They are cheap and as long as you calibrate them and know correct temps they are reading; they work great for setting on top of eggs. I have used them for many years now with great success.

I use Accurite Thermometer/ Hygrometers. They can be 'salt test' calibrated for the Hygrometer. I use them mainly for %Rh but the temperature sensor is pretty accurate. I use 'old school' mercury incubator thermometers....which are super accurate.

Heres a pic for the Accurite. You can pick one up at WalMart for around $11

Here's a pic of the type mercury thermometers I use. You can find them on ebay, if your lucky enough to beat me to them! :lau
Most of the ones I have are made by Taylor or Tycos. This one is in a hatcher.

I used to have one just like that, but it seemed to disappear on me throughout the years. I believe I got mine from my grandfather and was very upset that I lost it.
