My belief the last couple of weeks is that these two are cockerels, one seems to look like a bantam frizzle (please feel free to correct everything that I'm wrong about... I'm a complete novice and want to know my stuff!) except the researched temperament on that breed is the exact opposite of the temperamentcthat s/he presents with and the other I was told on another forum is an Easter Egger cockerel.... but I'm not convinced because of the other ones I've seen pictures of. This is our very first time ever having any of these breeds so load me up on information if you're willing and able! They are both about 10 weeks old.

Your frizzle is a cockerel and might actually be a frazzle. Seems to have some feathers missing. The second one may be a Barnevelder, but I can not clearly see the head on this one. Can you post a clear photo of the comb and face? I can not tell if it is male or female in the photos provided. 😊
I crack up when I hear words like frizzle and frazzle 😂 Makes me think of something Snoop Dogg would say. I’ll definitely look up a frazzle and educate myself! Here are some better pictures of the mystery guy/gal. My husband and I are both stumped. We thought s/he was a quail for a while!

Looks like a pullet/female and it does indeed look like a Barnevelder. Look at them online and you’ll see the comparison.😊
Frazzles are poor creatures that are created went two frizzles are bred together which is a no-no. They often never develop their feathers fully and have other health issues. Hopefully your guy is not this and just missing feathers and they will grow in eventually. Love Snoop Dogg!🥰

You’re a genius! I’ve never heard of this breed but that’s exactly what she is. Thank you so much! The Frizzle/Frazzle may be missing a feather or two from being combined with our older herd and some pecking order shenanigans last night. Other than that, he’s super soft and fluffy. Not the friendliest of temperaments though, either one of these!

You are quite welcome! Happy to help that’s what we’re here for. 😊With my own birds they all tend to get a little skittish around this age and then come around again when they get to be between four and six months of age. So don’t give up on them and be patient and they may end up being friendly birds after all.🥰
