Yeah they lay smaller eggs maby half the size of a normal egg. They start to lay around the same time as normal chickens. If your planning to hatch your own eggs they are very good moms I hatched a chick under one I have They are very broody.Do they lay smaller eggs than my big normal birds will lay?

Mine are still flighty sleek runners, no wide hips yetYeah they lay smaller eggs maby half the size of a normal egg. They start to lay around the same time as normal chickens. If your planning to hatch your own eggs they are very good moms I hatched a chick under one I have They are very broody.

that's what I believe they are too. Especially if they are smaller than other bantams of the same age. I won't say the dutch bantam guess is wrong either because I have never seen those before.golden duckwing old English game bantams
I have to agree with that 100% and most bantam breeds will forage so well.I think it's much more economic to keep bantams. You may need twice as many but even with twice as many they don't eat anywhere near as much food as the large fowl.
