Check your local drug store or pharmacy for Gentian Violet. But wear gloves when you use it and don't spill any. It will dye your skin, clothes, etc and it does not wash off! Same thing with the blukote, though I haven't actually found it to stain the skin quite as bad. If you can't find blukote at your local horse supply store, a lot of the online places like valleyvet carry it.

One of my little bantam white cochin frizzle chicks was getting pecked so I put "Rooster Booster Peck No More Lotion" on her. It worked great and as a wonderful side-effect I now have an adorable little peck-free PINK chick.
I am thinking I might need some of that "BlueKote"... I have 4 white bantam cochin chicks and I have seen some hawks out here - I want to be sure I protect them... and, ummm, well, I think purple chicks would be soooo much fun!
