These are supposed to be pure Java Green's expert opinions please or not so expert

The Palace is still under construction before the winter snow begins.East side flight pens are 100% completed but now finishing up inside facilities for safe winter housing.I've been adding info to the thread and will have more pic updates this weekend. You still have all your Cameo birds? I still have several blue marans from you here, all doing well but getting old enough egg production is very low, about crock pot time for them.

I'm guessing they aren't, or at least the hen isn't (unless she is not mature yet). The male also has a bad toe.....

I would have to see some more photos but green peahens will have a bit of brown on the face anyways so that is normal... Let's see...

Well some people say there aren't any pure greens in the US...I think there are but it is just hard to find many people with actual pure ones... The peacock's neck looks a bit too blue green in my opinion. I think it needs to look greener but lighting can do all sorts of things so it could just be the lighting.

If you have any more photos like better photos of them standing and better photos of their crests...They should be taller than your regular peafowl. Their wing colors look good though. I can't say for certain about what they are, but my guess is the male might not be pure, and if the peahen isn't pure she is at least more pure then the male. That is just a guess nothing certain...

Female greens are supposed to have brown on their face so that's normal. The female looks a lot like annamensis; very chubby and coppery neck. She looks a lot like the peahen at Ueno Zoo.

I need some better pictures of the male's face though. His plumage looks rather like a pure Green Peafowl though. However he lacks the triangle where the shoulders meet up with the wing...

Meh...Sometimes I have heard that the color on their face will be faded...Sometimes the diet affects if they will have a very bright face or not I think, or how much sun they get if I remember correctly...But maybe that has been thrown out and isn't true...Still from the photos I do think they look a bit short for greens although in the topic about the peahen feather picking she does look very pure. I guess it could just be that in the photo they are leaning over so you can't tell the real height.

There were some "experts" around here within the last couple of days. They didn't bother to visit the thread?

Com' On, Man.

I wish that I could help you, but I haven't received my Novice badge, let alone my Expert, or Researcher Badge, yet. I need to help an elderly person across the street to get my Wilderness Explorer Badge. Any volunteers?
