These chicks looked sad so I brought them home

The weakest chick died last night, the five stronger ones seem alright, plenty active and eating/drinking well.
I took the dead chicks to tractor supply and they gave me six ISA Browns (?).

They’re in with the bantams for now, but I’m going to set them up their own brooder and move them over when it’s warmed up.

So I haven’t got around to setting up the second brooder yet. I’ll try to get it done today, but I’m also thinking I’ll leave them in for a couple days so it’s easy for me to monitor both sets.

Still dealing with pasty butt, but I’m confident my last five bantams will make it. Pasty butt doesn’t scare me nearly as much as lethargy.
The ISA Browns seem healthy, clean butts and plenty of energy. They’re doing great.

Looks like we're about through with pasty butt
They're all doing really well, I'm tempted to try and keep this thread alive so I can post pictures while they grow up.

ISA browns are still in with the bantams, I will eventually separate them since the Isa's are joining my main flock and the bantams are joining the silkies. But for now they're good friends. The ISA browns are pretty funny, they like to take the chick feed and sprinkle it on the ground like how a mom hen does for her chicks. Although it does mean I'm going to go through the feed a bit faster as I have to keep the brooder clean for them.
