These pullets ready for outside?

Barred rock pullets this size, this feathered (not 100% feathers) born November 15th... yall think they can go out of the brooder and into the coop with a 4 month old rooster yet?

Month and a half old birds...

Reason i ask is because ive had some this age die on me before from getting too cold.... heating pad inside the en losed coop part for them to warm up some?

IMO I would give them another couple of weeks inside before trying to move them out. And even then if you are getting freezing weather provide a safe source of heat.

Your climate down there in San Antonio shouldn't be too harsh. I would go ahead and move them into the coop, but put up a divider at first in case the older cockerel gets ideas.

Moving them in with their heating pad cave will make the transition very easy on both them and you. They should be perfectly fine, and may not even need the heating pad after a week in the coop.
