These two Americaunas look similar yet only one crows.

Thank you. Just my luck. Bought 6 chickens of which 3 have grown to be roosters.

i have 4 roos in one pen and only the doment roo crows the others dont

i split one roo and he started to crow within hours of the split

its a dominence thing

not all roo's will crow in the same pen ony the dominent one will


that also made me think

if only one roo crows then there maybe a possibility to get roos to not crow in future breeds

still trying to figure out the beheviour pattern
 
Certainly the first one is a rooster. The second one is harder to call because I can't see obvious pointy saddle feathers, but not Ameraucanas. They are really handsome Easter Eggers. If I had to call the second, I would say male.
