They Always Laid Eggs Year Round Before....

I'm having the same problem and am persuing the parasite issue. There is not evidence of molt, I'm providing extra light and the food and water is the same. Plan on worming tonight.

All of my 15 hens have stopped laying.

I get may 1 or 2 eggs per day from my three barred rocks.

Just recently my two eater eggers have kicked in and I've gotten an egg from them.

I noticed my d'Uccle going through a horrible molt and just today I noticed one of my black australorp is molting.

There are probably others molting since I see so many feathers everywhere.

And we had to go buy eggs too.

France, are you positive you are not feeding some sneaky snakes, possums or ??? You said you are home all day, but could some critter be getting in there regularly and hide/run away when they hear you coming? Or, could a neighbor be helping themselves to the eggs regularly?

I added a light while not believing the deal about laying eggs--I added it to convince a few new chickens to go into the coop. The side effect of getting 2 of 3 those newbies into the coop every night on their own was that I'm getting a few more eggs than I was before I added the light. Believe it, France! It's the light!

Mine is only a 60 watt on a timer for 2 extra hours an evening.

Start giving them some coffee, with cream and sugar. Or put cayenne pepper in their feed. Both are stimulants, and will not hurt them.
