They are all dead...

I sent my daughter out yesterday morning only to hear her scream. All 17 chickens are dead. None eaten. Just dead.

Our neighbors thunk its 2 dogs that are running loose. They have been spotted recently. Coyotes would have eaten them. We live in Eastern WA, and all of the "animal services" we have called say nothing can be done.

One dog even has tags.

Not sure what to do now. I'm still grieving....no more chickens.running to the corner of the.outside pen begging for scraps.

I don't know what to do. I'm so sad. My kids are sad.

I'm so very sorry for you and your daughter. That's devastating.

I don't know if documenting would be helpful. In WA you can shoot dogs to protect your livestock, so odd they say there isn't anything they can do. If dogs are at large, in the least they should try to catch them.

Were they in a coop? How did the dogs get in?

We did make a report with S.C.R.A.P.S. When the dogs attacked, we were out on a date and our kids were in bed. The dogs dug and pushed their way through the fence and then went through the door. It has been so hard to think about. I keep looking out there, but there are no sounds and our scraps go in the garbage. :(
