i'm very sorry to hear that fussy! sounded like things were going so well.. Mother nature has got a pretty good handle on things.. i'm sure she'll be a good mama hen all on her own! she only sat two eggs?

Thank you and yes she did only sit on two but her sister was jealous so i gave her two as well and she kicked one out! But now we have two chicks the other hatched on the 27!!

I'm sorry for your loss

It is unfortunate, but most of the chicks that need help hatching are just not meant to live. It probably had something wrong with it, and the mother knew and didn't bother trying to keep it alive. I am of the school of thought: Leave them be. I know it seems cruel to not help, but I think there's something to be said about not wanting to prolong a chicks suffering when it's just not going to live.

I hope the rest of your hatch goes well
