Thanks I am going out of the fowl business until I can get a run built. Re homed my pekin, 2golden300s and 2 Blue Swedish left from flock of 15. And 2 Brown African Geese. Fred and Wilma, they are fantastic.

I still have four ducks and two geese. My dog has been protecting them but not sure that will last. They are safe at night but the predator s come around noon. So much for nocturnal

Mine are two steps from my side door. Double fenced, and they have their nighttime "sleep house" as well. It's as safe as I can make it.

I'd be sitting outside where the preds can't see me waiting with my shot gun on the ready. Or rifle what ever you have available.

My coops are right off my patio with half acre around it. So mine are close and protected but that doesn't mean we let our guards down. Predators are very sneaky and persistent.
