I thought i'd share with you my experience!

first i ordered my choice ducklings. They tossed in two packing peanuts

yay!

I was not a huge fan of the packaging... I felt that the ducks could have gotten really cold, but ...

everyone made it !

we had one loss. (upper left corner) I DO have a picture of just the duck... but I'll keep it to myself.

Runners and Buff's ... Check

Welsh Harliquin ( females anyway...

) Check!

happy ducklings enjoying their properly sized feeder.... Check... lol. I overestimated their size!

So cute! Where did you order them from? The packaging doesn't look great but that's how all my chicks and ducks have been sent so I'm guessing it's standard.

Metzer Farms...

I talked to their ( awesome!) customer service rep- Ashley...

They can replace the drake and anyhting else that dies in 24 hours with a heat pack, i pay nothing.

I just don't know about shipping a single duckling alone...that seems cruel... BUT ... i wanted to breed them...so. IDK.


I may ask her if I place another order for the summer if they will toss in some packing peanuts with him...

I had this happen to me as well... A little guy died after 6 days, and they sent me Victor, plus another mallard or rouen who went to rehabber...
