Thank you. Yes 2 different in to one. I priced out material to build something similar. And the cost was cheaper with the prefab. Very little cutting and pre drilling only because I combined the 2. The 2 coops only took about an hour and a half to put together. It took longer to paint them.

That’s very creative! I bet it was hard to paint -plus it looks like you really took your time doing so. Did you make any changes on the inside?

The painting wasn't to hard. Just time consuming because of the trim. I painted it while it was apart another plus for prefab. The only changes were removed the nesting box on the larger coop to attach the smaller one, raised the roost in the small one for easy access and put a small window in

Inside the nesting boxes are blocked off till they are of laying age.

Pretty inventive idea. What brand of coop are these? How many chickens do you have? Are you combining the runs some how or do they just have access to the run on whichever side they are on?

Current working on combining the runs. I have15 chickens. The larger coop is supposed to hold 18 but I thought it was to small when reading the reviews people that had bought it recommended 10max.
