Okay, I was a little too eager and couldn't wait for my mail order chicks to arrive, so I pciked up these 4 birds at the local local farm supply store from the straight run bin. The lady there assured me she could feather sex them. Well, she was 100% accurate with her results, just the wrong sex. Wanted pullets, got roos, but they are still awesome none the less. Would love to find out what breed they are. I thought they were supposed to be leghorns, but I don't think they are. Here are a few pics:

They were all purchased on 04/18 and I would assume they were probably about a week old when purchased, so I would add about a week to each of the ages noted above, so they are about 13 weeks of age now.

Help tell me what breed my little buddies are! Thanks!

The hens are redish colored as chicks.
The roo are white like yours.

Well, at least I know what they are and appreciate the information. They are a little crotchety, even at their young age, but I'm still working on them. I can actually hold two of them with very little fuss. I'll be pulling them from the flock and free ranging them in the yard.

I guess I also learned a valuable lesson that I should be very wary of having the hired help at the farm store sex my chickens. Shame on me for not being more knowledgable when I bought them!!!

You would think they would be able to tell the difference in the sex-link birds out of any of the others they have. Oh well. Lesson learned. Thanks again!
