hi everyone i have 33 silkie eggs in the incubator i started with 43 and i now have 3 pips and one chirping at me very loudly any time now i should have a baby silkie chick wonder what color it is going to be I have white, black, splash, one painted, buff eggs in the incubator now ihave to figure out how to seperate the colors when they go outside after they hatch and get older but that is several weeks from now. which colors can i mix to get the painted. when DH gets home he will have a job of getting the brooder out and running.

The two eggs of mine have made it to day 21 and no pips. Had a temp drop when I added water so I will give them a couple of extra days..

i have 8 pips now and one chirping from the egg but no chick yet must sit on hands and glue myself to a chair

my first silkie egg just hatched and it is white and has a nice vaulted head

well we have 2 silkie chicks out of the egg now waiting on 31 more here are some pictures of the first 2 one will be white and the other will be splash
