I now have 66 in the brooder and only 2 left in bator should be hatched by now.

As of this morning there are 7 out of 9 hatched so far, I still don't know about the other 2 though. I guess 7 out of 9 is good! I just transferred them to the heated brooder and they are resting. I shall try to get pics later today!

I forgot to mention that I set these eggs because I couldn't get one of the hens to go broody, well just so happens that while these eggs were hatching, one of the hens decide to go broody after all my hard work too

Sad news for me.....1 of the 7 new hatchlings died this morning

and the other 2 didn't hatch

So all I have are 6 chickies....
I have been outside today getting the juvinile pen ready for the 32 7 1/2 week olds still in the livingroom, hopefully tomorrow will be moving day for them!

sorry to hear did you do a eggtopsy to see why the 2 didnt hatch were they fully formed well good luck with the moveout and keeping the rest of all of your chicks new and old in good health where is the pictures tho?

No I didn't do that with the eggs, I knew they formed as they had been candled, just didn't think my eyes/stomach wanted to see it.

did you let them sit till day 25 or what day was it you pulled the plug? as i have had a late hatcher on day 25 before

no I haven't unplugged hatcher, the eggs are still in there. Sunday was day 21 so I figured on waiting til tomorrow just to see....
