One of my Appleyard ducks tripped while leaving the night run this AM.

Poor thing was screaming about how much pain she was in. I picked her up and her leg hung limp. She couldn't stand up.

I set her on the ground to wait for me while I finished caring for the rabbits. Since I wasn't paying any attention to all of her drama, she got up and walked away. There is no point in dying melodramatically if nobody is paying any attention or giving any sympathy.

My friends have a silkie (chicken) which was getting picked on by other chickens, so they brought it indoors for a night or two. Then it got rainy AND the other chickens picked on it, so inside it came again. Back outside again when all better.

This silkie then FEINED injury to be brought into the house! But it forgot to stay "hurt" once it was inside.....

Little sneak.
