I never ate it when my grandma cooked it, turns out some poke needs more prep than others so it was a gamble eating it reguardless.

Well, my MIL was 90 when she died, and it was a car wreck that killed her, not poke. But the stuff sure didn't agree with *my* stomach, I'll grant you that, but then not much does.

Black Nightshade - Semi-toxic

Dont touch too much pokeweed.

Dont eat either, unless you know what you are doing with the nightshade. Ive tasted them and they were not good though.

Id get rid of the plants and just keep an eye on the chickens.
