The Post Office called and said my chickies had arrived. I was thrilled yet worried. These were a gift as I rather not ship living animals in such a manner. As soon as I entered the Post Office I could hear my peeps cheeping for all they were worth. One cheeky gal actually gave me the stink eye through one of the air holes.
Cheeping energetically the entire way home, each chick was gently extracted from the alarmingly small box. Immediately they went for the medicated crumbles I had sprinkled on the floor. Some went for the water and the chirping never stopped. They are so funny to watch. One had a poopy and they all ran over to inspect it. Then suddenly one popped in the air like a kernal of popcorn and ran across her new home. Another tried to scratch her head only to fall down. Two went after the same tiny morsel of medicated crumbles only to be distracted by another poop pile. After a short nap a feeding frienzy ensued. They are so fun to watch!
Unfortunately all my photos show fuzzy butts in the air.
