Every day now when I come into the buff rock run, the girls all run to the outside nest box and stand in a semi-circle around it, waiting. I collect the eggs as they watch (picture tennis-match head motions following each egg from nest to basket) and wait for me to ooo and ahhh over each and every egg. Once we have done all this, then--and only then--do they head to the coop for the night. If I don't do the ooo/ahh stuff, they will NOT go in for the night!
