Early this morning I came down with a virus, stomach cramps, icky feeling, puking the whole shabang. So after some cereal (they were lucky to get that
) I sent the rest of my family out to feed and water the chickens and the dog as I curled up on the couch. Everything was going well until I heard hysterical screaming from my six year old!! I grab the nearest coat and shoes I could find and try my darndest to run out to the coop.... I grabbed my six yr old by the shoulders and asked her what happened....( even though my husband was right there, but what does he know sometimes!!
) Her eyes became as big as silver dollars and she pointed to the roosts. One of our EE's laid her very first egg today!!
I feel so happy even though it's broken! I put a couple of fake eggs in the nesting boxes... I'm soo thrilled!!
She's such a good girl!
Another one today!! Now she needs to fill the other girls in on what to do!!
