They don’t like the coop

I have 16 pullets that would sleep on the ground. What I did at the end of nautical twilight on the first night was gather them all up, one or two at a time, and physical place them in the coop. The next night, I did it again. On night three, all but two went to roost. On night four, all were in the coop except two that were on the ladder, but couldn’t get in because of the crowd at the door.

Eventually they’ll start jumping up on the roosting branches, clearing the bottle neck at the entrance.
