They eat slugs

I found out today that they eat slugs and tried to take it away from each other. that has got to be one of the coolest surprise bonuses
Is there any cautions I should know about this?

Chickens are omnivorous. They'll eat any plant or animal that they take a liking to. That may be seeds, greenery, a worm, slug, cricket, another chicken or parts of a deer carcass.

The problem with things like slugs, worms, crickets, flies, etc. is that they are secondary hosts of parasitic worms. Not a big problem if the chickens are healthy and rotating pasture helps.
