They are Buff Orpingtons. I ordered 15 straight run, received 16. Hope I have at least 5 hens out of the group.

Well fudge. What I thought were Buff did not look like that 5 weeks ago. I now have no clue what I have 3 of. These were hatchery choice because I was clueless. Guess I'll wait 5 more weeks & post pictures. Thanks for letting us see what a Buff Orpington looks like.

Second guess would be production reds from Ideal Hatchery. Little lighter in color than the RIR's deep red color. Hmmm.

The chicks had black marks on the wings.

Is it chicken math if I think we *need* some buff orpingtons? LOL
