scheduling for a weekend hatch is a good idea. I'm taking a day off tomorrow..... This being at work wondering is terrible.

Can't wait to here what you have hatched when you get home. Sometimes it is better to be gone so you don't stand by the bator all day. Watched pot never boils ect.

my son just got home from his morning classes and gave me an update. One of the jersey giants has hatched! Two more are almost out. Two barred rocks are showing the beak ss is silvers egg. One blue orp has pipped.

By the time I get home there should be a few chicks.

Interesting to note: I numbered my jersey giant eggs ss I collected them. The oldest egg was the first to hatch and the two almost out are in order of day laid ....

Pics as soon as I get home this evening.

Now that is interesting, The number thing. I may try that at some point and see what happens.

Yep, I always number my eggs in the bator, usually in the order collected, if I'm the one who's collected them. Fun to see which hatches first. Hope those Blue Orps hatch for you, Jay- and the others, too, of course.
