they just wouldn't get out of the pond...

last night, my ducks just WOULDN'T get out of the pond!! we tried everything. we threw sticks at them, we threw rocks at them (never hitting them, just making a splash and scaring them) we got a string and my dad and i walked around the pond so it was across the pond, and tried to push them out. we got their food to try and tempt them out because they hadn't eaten all day. but NOTHING WORKED!!! we didn't stop trying until past 930. i was so worried all night that something would get them. i'm afraid they won't come out tonight either, and they haven't eaten since yesterday morning so they have GOT to be hungry. how should i get them out if they don't come for food? we don't have a boat sadly

well they are home now! thank god! they got hungry.

they came running up and went right to the closest food which happened to be dumped on the ground because it had gotten wet and they had pooped in it. our little girl slushie was "humming" which she only does when she's really happy eating something, normally watermelon.
