They LOVE wet crumbles, whats the deal?

I've just discovered our really like the wet crumbles too. They would kick and toss the dry and when the water spilled, they went crazy, so I added a bowl of wet crumbles and it was gone in minutes. They also love hard boiled eggs, so I think it's a texture thing. I'm going to try yogurt and some oatmeal next. They weren't too crazy on nectarines or cherries though.

My chickens will eat ANYTHING that has a soft texture, regardless of what it is. Anything that is slightly hard, they have no interest in.

I had a few week olds that really weren't eating much because they thought the crumples were too big and I suspected they were hungry. So I tried the mash thing.

I just tried it with my new chicks, the crumbles were so hard for me to smash up smaller, so I gave them some with enough water to soften it. Once they figured out that it wasn't going to eat them, boy oh boy was there a stampede!
