I'm new at this and have asked lots of strange questions the last few weeks so here is another one. I had been trying to candle brown eggs but couldn't see anything. Someone suggested that I wait to day 10 to candle so I did so a little while ago. I held the egg in my hand on it's side and shined my light into the large end. I could easily see what I think is an air pocket and I saw some veining and then a dark spot. Now was it my imagination or was I actually watching baby chicks moving inside the eggs?? I started 18 eggs on the 19th at 6pm so due on the 9th, I think.

I'm really anxious about these babies because our young roo (Lynard Skinner) died suddenly on 12/12 and most of the eggs were refridgerated before going into the homemade bator.

But, if what I think I see, is what I see, then I will see baby chicks looking back at me.

I love when they swim around while I'm candling. Congrats on your growing babies and good luck with your hatch.
