They proved me wrong!

Long story short. We gave our grandsons their chickens for Easter. These girls are one year old and the boys have had ownership since chickshood...The girls just stayed with Nana for 1 year to see if the boys we're really interested in more than fuzzy butts. So we built them a coop and took the girls down, teaching and supplying along the way. Yesterday was delivery day and Western Washington was abuzz.
I told the Fam.

"now you know the the ladies have been stressed and don't know their home. So give them a few day before expecting eggs...OK?" "OK Nana"

they replied. WELL

my DD in-law call this morning and said they had 3 eggs out of 4 girls. I couldn't believe it.
The boys were squealing in the background

. They even got a blue'green egg from Cheeks. I'm so happy our chicka's proved me wrong!!!

You may still see a drop in egg production. The eggs from today were 'already in the works'. I've had chickens that stopped for months and some that acted like nothing had happened. You just have to wait and see.
