They Say What's In A Woman's Handbag and Purse Says A Lot About Her

My mom tried to get me to carry a purse when I was younger.. (Its more lady like she said...) and occasionalloy she pops up with a GREAT purse for me.. Well last one was a real nice country style leather one that actually was quite nice.. I even TRIED to use it.. I put my wallet in it and promptyly ran it over with my truck when I forgot it on the hood...
All I carry is my checkbook, in my back pocket, hunting license, drivers license, some Credit cards, the kids insurance cards, checks, and my business cards.. all go in it..In my front pocket go my keys, cigs, and a lighter, maybe lipstick if I remember to grab it LOL.....
Anything else I dont need.
You know the funny thing is when I go hunting I have a call bag.. It has all my hand calls, extra ammo, scalpes, blades, knife, saftey gear, rubber gloves, flash light, batteries, toilet paper etc... I have NEVER forgotten it anywhere... My mom finds it odd I dont loose or forget THAT bag LOL...
Im just one of those women who just cant see packing around a bunch of junk LOL. And if hubby needs something carried... well he has two hands ...

Okay... I've got:

* cell phone
* wallet (which is NORMALLY money-less!)
* about $80 is cash (I'm buying some pigs this weekend and needed cash)
* about $1.50 in quarters (I made the stupid mistake of transporting some straw in my car yesterday, so I need to go to the car wash vacuum cleaner)
* lip stick
* chap stick
* a bunch of old receipts
* sunglasses
* keys
* paycheck
* cigarettes and lighter
* gum
* a coupon for Hot Pockets
* a list of places to buy straw
* 2 pens
* oh, and there's straw in there from yesterday's adventure!
* credit cards
* health insurance card
* proof of car insurance
* dental appointment reminder card
* business cards
* driver's license
* my first husband's driver's license

I'll chime in here......I used to carry a bag (I despise the word 'purse' for some dumb reason, so I carried a b-a-g.....I know, pretty lame, but......). When I carried a bag, I carried nearly everything on earth, wallet with ALL the accessories, ie, checkbook, cash only on occasion (lol), driver's license, debit card, credit card, and ink pen.

In the bag with the wallet, at any given time could be found kleenex, chapstick (no lipstick for these lips, thanks) mirror, keys to probably every home I've ever set foot in or car I've ever driven or ridden in, comb, brush, hair ties, the kids immunization records.......I could go on and on here. I could trim, groom, charge, prove, eat, repair or clean anything out of any of my bags.

I've carried everything from an oversized wallet alone to a beach bag sized overnight case that I could pack enough of anything I needed to survive for a week on a deserted island.

Now that my shoulders are shot and the ole back's not nearly as strong as I'd like to beleive it is, I carry (in my cell phone case mind you), my cell phone, driver's license, debit card and chapstick. That's it. Oh, and periodically, I actually have a dollar bill or two in there (although, with the creation of the debit card, my checking account will never be the same! LOL)

Now, if I could figure out how to get the kids to do that to their rooms, I've have it made!!
