The reason we ladies carry big hand bags are multiple: kids (explains the bandaids, camera, library card and headache medicine), grocery shopping (coupons and checkbook), general girly stuff (lipstick, tampons, hairbrush, etc), and having a spot for our dh or db to put all the stuff he can't fit into his thin little wallet.

Geez, That's alot of stuff to carry around... I'm female and don't think I'd ever be able to carry a purse. I do carry stuff in my pockets though...

Left pocket: A mens wallet because they are more efficient at holding things and my cell phone

Right pocket: house keys, dorm keys, car keys, pencil, pen, eraser.

Since I'm a student though, I guess I carry my back pack around. That contains a graphing calculator, all my text books/school supplies, a 7.1 megapixel camera, a surefire flashlight and occasionally stuff like tools and superglue.
 
I too carry a man's wallet. It holds all I need.

hunting license
credit cards
cash
secret stash of cash dh knows nothing about

NO CASH because I'll spend it

Fashion Tape (to tape your clothes to you... I wore a dress the other day)

tampons
a penis straw (I know, I know... but I was just at a bridal shower!)
A little plastic Burts Bees bag w. various Burts Bees products
bobby pins
buisness cards
flash cards with Spanish words on them
And a makeup bag which contains-
Blot paper
Liquid blush
concealer
eyelash curler
mascara
tweezers (two kinds, actually)
fingernail clippers
more lipgloss
floss
eye drops
allergy meds
and eyeliner.

Geesh. I need a nap now!
