They started laying again! Hooray!!

Finally, after almost 3 months, my hens are back to laying. I have 6 hens who are between 1.5-2.5 years old and was only getting about 3 eggs per week for a very long time. Just within the last 5 days or so, I am now up to about 3 eggs per day again. Should be up to fill capacity within another month hopefully!!! Yippee!!!!

Also, my new pullets are now 3 months old, so by Summer I am hoping for them to be producing....so everyone who has hens "on strike", be patient! Hopefully your hens will start laying again too!!!

I have 18 hens--they will be a year old in March. Today I got 7 eggs. That is the most I have gotten in weeks! Usually I get 2 or 3, but before winter I was getting 9 or 10 a day! Hopefully all of them will start laying soon!

Got two eggs out of four hens today. I was out feeding a treat at noon when I heard the egg song. Went in the coop. Watched the hen come out of the nest box and a second hen jumped in and did her business. Had two warm eggs in 5 minutes. The other two hens were standing in line, but neither took to the nest boxes today. Maybe some more tomorrow.
