they started

late last night the little fellow got out of his shell :ya what a relief.
now i have 4 others starting to pip :pop but one is at the wrong end, he's been like that all night, should i intervene with this one, its also my araucana and i think this might be the only one i will get to hatch so really would like to save this little one.

ok this little one needs to go into the brooder, he does not like being on his own so i have put in a feather duster, will this be ok, until the others hatch.

i have 3 little ones now, two still in the incubator drying off, i have done a silly thing and helped one who was trying to hatch the wrong end and he started to bleed i have left him in the incubator but the others keep standing on him, what should i do.

thank you Yorkshire Coop for that information, i did read it, very good advice.
the one that was bleeding is out but not looking to good, i did help another that pipped the wrong end but he's already running around with the others in the brooder. i have learnt a very important lesson and that is not to go in to early like i did on one little chick, if he dies i am going to be gutted because i killed it, it's my fault for not keeping my hands off this little fellow and give him more time.

18 hours and he's still in the egg. he's still chirping and have made the hole slightly bigger, the other egg has not progressed from the small hole.
How exciting for you & the eggs. Don't worry, get some sleep; the chicks will hear each other chirping & get "inspired", so they're not alone. Hang in there, best wishes.

the little chick died. i am gutted poor little thing.
these are the 4 that's in the brooder, 2 SL wyandotte and 2 araucana i have 2 still in the incubator just hatched.
