They want to sleep outside

I have chickens that don't want to go in the coop at night. How do I change this?

When I first take chicks out to the coop, they get locked in the coop for a couple days. This allows them to see the coop as a place of comfort and a place to return to at night. Once a chicken has slept somewhere and survived, they will return to this spot each night. So this is an option for you still. You can also lure them in with food or place them in at dusk and lock the door behind them. But don't let them stay out all night or you may lose them all.
