I set some eggs 3 weeks a go. 2 weeks a go I set some more. Last week I realized that I hadn't plugged in the turner.

So the first set went 2 weeks without turning an the second set went for a week.

Yes, eggs can still hatch without being turned. However, you got lucky in that yours hatched normally.

Others who have tried this as an experiment often get chicks that have stuck/partially grown into the shell and membrane, -have an eye that didn't develop as thay part was stuck to the shell etc.

It is not that is can't hatch without turning it is the fact that you more often than not can get serious developmental issues when they aren't turn.

Even a hen turns her eggs.

A few months ago I started a hatch and for reasons I cant remember right now they were just ignored. I hide my eyes but I have a busy life.
I did have a lot of eggs in there but i got 8 perfect chicks all hens.
so maybe all wont be lost. good luck,

A second one has hatched as of this morning. My incubator is not in the house so all I can see is whats on the webcam. There may be health issues I cant see yet. I wont be going out there an opening up the bator till tomorrow night at the earliest. We will see then.
