Smart to not lock them in the coop with high temps. Get the extra ventilation added to make the coop as comfortable as possible, then put them in each night if they're still not going in on their own. They'll get the hint soon enough.

He kept them in a probably 15x15 fence with two solid walls and a roof, but no coop to speak of. The area had plenty of roost, and of course food and water, but there was not a coop so to speak.
You are correct, that there are no windows, however there are two vents, approximatly 6x12 on each side of the coop.
