Okay, I recently got an order from Ideal. Instead of six blue-red cubalayas, they sent me four, and then included these two mystery chicks.. I have no idea what they are. Does anyone know?

If you call them they will most likely tell you what they are. If I had any idea, I would take a shot. Why didn't they send the rest of your order?

Don't they have too much white on their chests? We're actually kind of starting to think that they're bantams.. Even if they're not, they're definitely on the smaller side for standards.. More like campine-sized?

I don't know what they are but I have two of them at home. One that looks almost identical to yours (just a little more feathered out, she's probably a little older). And one with a littl more white on the face. As they are feathering out I'm noticing a little white on their wing tips.

This is the one with white on her face:

I agree they are smaller but not really as small as my Banty chicks. I got them from a feed store where he "hatches his own" and he never knows the breed. My guess is mine are mixed breeds.

they look like the could be black stars, they look just like mine!

you can't really tell, but the one in the far back looking at the camera inquisitively has a LOT of white on it's chest and a bt on its face. black sex links can vary greatly in color.

they could also be black jersey giants or black aussies maybe.
