Who knows?? I have no idea. I bought them from a lady who bought them from a local farmer as eggs. I got them at three days old. So, it's anybody's guess. I'm guessing most of my babies are sexlinks and barred rocks at this point because that's most of what people have around here. Obviously though my brown rooster, Copper, is something else though.

I'm going to post a few pics in "what breed or gender" in a little bit to determine what my black chicken, the black and browns, the brown rooster, etc. are. I've got such a farmer's garden variety. It's awesome and they're all adorable, but I wish I could guess at some of the genetics.

I guess all I know is it looks like I've got four roosters and I'm gonna get a whole bunch of brown eggs!! Raising them from chicks was and is awesome! One of the big yellow ones likes to sit on your shoulder if you give her a chance. She loves it up there - she's a big affectionate baby.

While I am no expert I have 3 that are identical to this chicken. Mine are Black Sex Links. Just a thought.

You have pretty chickies! And they look so happy. I bet they loved it!

PS: I think your blackies are not black sex-links. Black sex-links usually have red-brown just under their neck and on their breast, not spreading to their back and wings, too. Plus, the red-brown that sex-links have looks different.
