of course wanted all females, but the 3 we think a roos are our favorites! Hahaha so, unless they just become real rowdy, guess they will stick around..

Those are cool breeds.

I think barred rocks are pretty, but my grandparents had a few, the rooster was sooo mean. It got out one day and my granny tried to get it back in the yard, it ripped her leg open. I said no barred for me. Our neighbor has a couple hens, they are sweet. My grandpa was given the rooster so who knows why it was so crazy. Good luck with your babies!

I have a couple of girls that started doing the squat a couple weeks ago!! I'm starting to check all knooks and crannies for eggs just in case they don't use there nesting area. I sure hope they do!

It is so sad when they grow up. i never thought their first birthday would come (March 26 and April 1). Luckily i still have a lot waiting for their first birthdays, but it's still so sad when they grow up!

I love to watch them run at this age! They seem so awkward with their little bodies and long legs that they are just starting to really grow into. That and when they try to take off flying. It's sad to see them grow up but then comes the fun of finding their first eggs!
