Unfortunately, these weren't shipped eggs. These were from my own birds. But there were quite a few that were from my rosetta/golden pen, and they had just started laying. I got 3 or 4 golden chicks, and quite a few rosettas, so it seems like the old adage that first eggs don't hatch isn't totally correct. But a good part of the eggs that didn't hatch were from that pen. But there were some from the browns and A&Ms that haven't hatched yet either.

There is no more action in the hatcher, so I think they are done. I don't know what the deal is with these button eggs, they all look developed. I'll leave them in there a while longer, but I'm not holding my breath.

Incubator is a hovabator 1583 (picture window/wafer thermostat model) and the hatcher is an LG still air.

This is the same incubator that my friend used to incubate and hatch the eggs from my quail. The hatch rate was 100%. All 12 chicks are healthy and thriving! I'll be buying one of these incubators for myself next month.

It is for sure worth the money. I had a 100% hatch on shipped eggs from macnugget with this bator a couple weeks ago

Cool. I am looking forward to getting a hovabator since im gonna be opening a hatchery and everyone says they work great. At the moment i have a Brinsea. I'm torn between getting a Brinsea or Hovabator though =[. Any toughts?

The school uses a brinsea model that works wonderfully, and flawlessly (I'm got the Rcom on summer loan, just set it with 7 quail eggs, rest are in my cabinet bator. Santa has already been informed that a brinsea should be under the tree if he has any hopes of jolliness.
