Specked Sussex & Light Brahma are my two favorite pullets right now. You’ll have yourself a lovely group.

Too bad I only ordered one SS. But, I'll tell you what; heaven forbid; but if anything happens to the others while free ranging I will replace with SS. Of all the breeds I will end up mostly with dark brahma. I have five now (straight run), one on way in Oct. (pullet).

Oh, and check it . . . . one coming in October is a Speckled Sussex. Now how lovely will SHE be!!!! Uuwww wweeeee.

How is all the babies doing?

You would NOT believe. 10 brooding in my L I V I N G R O O M and two separate broods in the sewing room STILL! Coop is coming along; almost done. They are thriving, growing (as you know). I am waiting on the roo to crow any day (bwahhh haaa). Seriously, they are well, anxious to get out and about (as I am for them also). Can't wait to get footage of their freedom day. Pfft, talk about Independence Day; they will probably get together like the chickens in the movie "Chicken Run" (did you see it?) The husband was convinced that the chickens were plotting (and they were ; having secret meetings and everything). So, anyway, I am sure my chickens are talking about me behind my back too "trifflin' chicken mamma, won't even get us into our house".

The first eight babies are actually looking like hens (so beautiful).

Hahahahaha I’m have seen chicken run! It is a pretty good movie! I forgot about it to be honest. Know I want my son to watch it! He will LOVE it! My little 2yr old dude is always trying to help me with the chickens and EVERY bird now is a chicken!

I didn’t get my chickens out until they were about 8 weeks. They were big then! I know they were happy too out in the coop and run! I want see how they act when they get out! You should so share! And I can’t wait to see the coop! You have a lot going on but you have a beautiful flock going on!!!
