Yikes! I just got the call from the post office. The guy was laughing... told me I had a "peeping package".

Can't go until they open at 8:00, what am I going to do for the next 45 minutes?!? I guess checking the brooder every 2 minutes will help These are my first chicks, so expect a ton of questions in the beginning. Sheesh, I feel like a new mommy.
I'll be back in a couple of hours with photos!!!

Where are you that you can get chicks this time of the year?

I just ordered some from Ideal, but they have a limited selection. Got them last thursday.

Our post office called at 3:30 am for me to come pick mine up, guess they didn't want to chick sit!

I am in extreme coastal southern California. South San Diego County. Daytime temps are 76-80, nighttime 55-60. But, they came from My Pet Chicken. Only 3 of them, 1 RIR, 1 Barred Rock, 1 White Leghorn.
