wow that is a lot of eggs. Just looking at those has given me the incubating itch again. And I was doing really good about not wanting to put any in but the girls layed really well for me yesterday so I might just have to sneak a few in

I still can;t believe but I got almost 3 dozen yesterday

I can't even imagine 49 eggs or more hatching at one time. Of course, that comes from an old coot

with 75 baby chicks.

Cyn, what you gonna do with all them babies?
I hope you got plenty of brooder space and nusery pens. I didn't and now I'm playing catch up. Just got back from the lumber yard and got to get busy building. Who said raising chickens ain't hard work.

Best of luck to you and your hatch. Mabey this hatch will help temper your addiction for a short period of time.

Good Luck on your hatch!

The Blue Orps from my birds are for KingsCalls and he'll be picking them up within a day or two of hatching. The rest will go into the same old brooder in the bsmt bathroom till they outgrow it; in this case, I bet that will be in less than two weeks! In the next week or so, I'll be cleaning and disinfecting the nursery coop to get ready for the babies. I have to grow out one Welsummer and one Buff Orp pullet for a friend and maybe another certain friend who lives near me might want a dark egglayer..((she knows who she is, I bet)) All depends on how many actually hatch, of course. You just never know. I could end up with only half of what went into the bators.

****Skye finally graced me with her egg of the day, so in it went and I bet tomorrow, I get one more from Miss Velvet to finalize this first part of the hatch.
