Today is day 20 and I've got 2 eggs of my 17 that are pipping. I'm so worried they're going to expire while hatching. What do yall do to pass the time and not stand at your bator watching them?
The biggest mistake I ever made was helping the chicks out of their shell after seeing them struggle all day. They will rest and keep pecking until they push themselves out. Often we try to pull one out only to find the egg sac full of nutrients that the baby was already getting. If that bag is still on the chick leave it alone to try to survive. Most healthy chicks get out on their own.
Good luck!🥚🦢🦆

Leave it until it’s fluffed up. It can stay in there for up to 48 hours. It shouldn’t hurt the others running around.
Got a brood box and clamp on light to keep them warm in a box with a little water snd food. That light will keep them warm. If you have an older stuffed animal
they will get under it, too, like they would’ve under mama hen

I've got the broader box set up but I guess I'm just waiting toll more come out. Tomorrow was supposed to be hatch day
