They're Starting!!!

So, I finally found my maglite and decided to check for pips (turning all lights out and looking for odd shadows is the best way for me). Anyways, I saw one egg that had a crack in it at the small end and had assumed "schnoot, that must have been the one I dropped, I didn't realise that it was that bad!" So, with the concentration of a gnat, I forgot all about the other eggs and opened the bator and snatched the egg out to see how far it had progressed before getting the crack (I also have the memory of a gnat, so I can't remember what stage they were at when I candled). I tried candling it and saw a pitch black egg. I assumed that it was just one of "those" eggs, until it started making crunchy feelings!!! I hurried up, popped it back in, added some hot water to bring the humidity back up and remembered to check the other eggs. I stopped counting at five pips, I was too excited to keep counting! I can't wait!

just been messing with the Okies! With all the snow we have had school got cancelled so i have been playing with the birds and building rabbit hutches

My wife doesn't usually see the great thrill in the birds like me...but when there are chicks around she is gonna have one in her hands! She did catch a couple birds today...just for huggin! there is hope!!!
