Yes...I remember that vulture!!!
They're both gorgeous birds and look so sweet together! I have seen pictures of that breed online and I really wasn't a fan....but now seeing pictures of yours I'm absolutely smitten!!

They look so elegant...like they're wearing big fur coats and masquerade masks! Like fashionable flamingos! Thanks for sharing!!!!
I love those Looney Toons cartoons!

Thanks, I’m glad you like them. I know what you mean about their strange appearance and ugliness.
They’ve really grown on me though.
I’ve heard they’re good layers.
I got them from
Tractor Supply.
They are mixes though.
Like Easter Eggers.
I think the genes from other breeds may contribute to them being a bit more attractive than the ones you see online.
Everything I’ve read about legit Naked Necks says that they’re mostly solid colors. Black, white, blue, buff, cuckoo and red.
My birds, other than black Agatha, are a mix of colors with incomplete barring, and small amounts of other colors bleeding through.
I’ve heard than since NN are caused by a gene, most places in the US breed them with fully feathered birds and sell the chicks with bare necks as NN.
That’s why you see all the crazy colors like EE.
One way to know you’re getting a real Ameracauna is that it will be sold as a color: black, Wheaten, etc.
Same thing with NN.
But just like people who love their EE with all their interesting color variations, I love my NN too.

I’m watching them grow with much interest to see how they look as adults.
Here’s some photos of the other three:
These three are bigger than Agatha & Emily.
I call this one my Bubelah, I hope it’s a she...

This brown/black one is definitely a cockerel and he’s a jerk! Aggressive and fearless, he’s tried to challenge my bantam roo already at 6 weeks old. Likes to bite
This guy is also a cockerel and is pretty calm in spite of being harassed by the other guy. He has some beautiful black, brown & cream (white?) barring. As a chick he was yellow with brown and black chipmunk stripes.
